In the anniversary year for independent Ukraine in 2021, the ATB corporation, within the framework of its social and environmental projects, donated 45 hectares of forests to four regions of the country instead of the 30 hectares announced in August.
To implement this project, the ATB Charitable Foundation purchased 180 thousand seedlings and tree seedlings. Within the framework of this eco-campaign for the thirtieth anniversary of the independence of Ukraine during November in four regions of Ukraine, new areas of forest plantations were created.
Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and part of the Luhansk region controlled by Ukraine received 5 hectares of forests each, where more than 33 thousand, 24 thousand and almost 23 thousand young tree seedlings were planted, respectively. And in six districts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, more than 98 thousand young trees are already taking root on 30 hectares of forest land.
“Back in the summer we announced this action and had been preparing for it for several months – it was an activity in coordination with forestry, preparation of the purchase and delivery of seedlings to their planting sites, where we will soon see new young forests. Our initiative received an active response from the heads of forestry enterprises and their full support: we were so carried away by this project that instead of the 30 hectares of forests announced for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine, we planted as many as 45! We could not remain indifferent to the issue of restoring those forests that most of all needed the help of people and socially responsible business”.

The eco-initiative of the ATB corporation and its charitable foundation was implemented jointly with the regional state forestry enterprises and the State Agency for Forest Resources.
