According to the results of 2018, the company has opened 80 new discounters, including 34 stores in the Western Ukraine and 14 in Southern regions. At the same time, a deep reconstruction of 41 stores was carried out. Thus, the total ATB-Market network of trade enterprises at the beginning of 2019 is 990 stores, which are located in 253 locations of 22 regions of Ukraine.
According to Borys Markov, General Director of ATB-Market, the corporation has maintained such high rates of development of its sales network over the past three years. It is carried out on the basis of a long-term strategy developed by the corporation’s management, which provides a combination of quantitative growth with the introduction of new store concepts — advanced European technologies, concepts and practices for developing discounter format.
In August last year, ATB opened the first store of the Express format, in which the latest generation refrigeration and freezing equipment, the newest lighting, insulation, heating and energy recovery system are installed. The company notes that the new concept is designed specifically for the bedroom communities of large cities. The store is a kind of experimental platform where new trading solutions and services are tested.
