During the second year of the war, the "ATB" group of companies maintained industry leadership and the title of the largest taxpayer in domestic food retail.
According to the results of 2023, taxes and fees were paid to the budgets of all levels, including customs payments and VAT, in the total amount of UAH 25.06 billion. Despite the negative factors caused by the war, this indicator exceeded the financial results of the previous year by UAH 4.62 billion and became a significant contribution of sustainable patriotic business to our future victory.
From this amount, UAH 16.49 billion went to the state budget, UAH 6.02 billion to local budgets, and UAH 2.55 billion to special funds.
The consolidated budget, which includes state and local treasuries, customs payments, excise duties on branded products, as well as special funds, received UAH 20.04 billion from ATB during the year.
During 2023, the corporation's flagship enterprise – ATB-Market LLC paid taxes and fees for the total amount of UAH 19.45 billion (a similar figure for the previous year, in 2022, was UAH 15.63 billion). So last year, the state budget received a contribution of UAH 12.41 billion from the largest Ukrainian trade network, UAH 5.12 billion of taxes and fees were paid to local budgets, and UAH 1.92 billion to special funds.
The second year of full-scale war in Ukraine became a serious test for Ukrainian society, business and economy in general. Despite serious challenges, threats and difficulties, the responsible trading business, which experienced a certain decline during the stormy 2022, has already shown growth at a good pace in 2023. There are even reasons to believe that this year it will reach the pre-war level. This is important primarily because retail is the driver of the Ukrainian economy – its contribution to the country's GDP is about 14%. The long-term leader of the retail trade industry is precisely the company "ATB", which is consistently included in the list of the 10 largest taxpayers of the country. Currently, it has become not only an outpost of the country's food security, but also a point of support for Ukrainian defenders and the domestic economy. The amount of charitable assistance from "ATB" to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteer formations, medical facilities, rescuers, volunteer organizations, affected civilians, etc. has already exceeded one billion hryvnias and continues to grow rapidly.
